Taiwan Sports Lottery partners with Sportradar to revolutionize sports betting

Taiwan Sports Lottery has joined forces with Sportradar in a pioneering partnership set to redefine the sports betting sector in Taiwan.

This collaboration, established through a rigorous international tender process, is going to take effect from 2024 and extend to 2033. Under the consortium’s umbrella, ADATA Technology holds the licence, while Taiwan Sports Lottery Company Ltd (TSLC) oversees operations.

China Trust Bank is a key contributor. This consortium received the third Sports Lottery licence from the Taiwan Government’s Sports Administration in December 2022.

Sportradar to Provide Comprehensive Solutions

Sportradar will introduce its cutting-edge ORAKO platform, encompassing a sportsbook and player account management tool, in over 2,600 retail locations across Taiwan and various digital platforms, significantly enhancing the user experience. Additionally, Sportradar will provide Taiwan Sports Lottery with a comprehensive suite of platforms and services, including ORAKO Sports Betting and Player Management, Managed Trading Services, and data and odds for both Pre-match and Live events. This strategic partnership also encompasses audio-visual streaming and marketing services, along with the provision of customized lottery terminals, printers, and digital multimedia displays to retail locations.

Innovative efforts

To ensure seamless operations and support in the iGaming industry, Sportradar will establish a local team in Taipei to collaborate closely with TSLC’s Taiwan-based team members.

Carsten Koerl, Chief Executive Officer of Sportradar, (in photo above), emphasized the company’s readiness to contribute to the success of the Taiwan Sports Lottery consortium, stating, “We’re able to bring the full range of betting services to deliver a high-quality and consistent experience for people playing the games, whether they’re in retail outlets, playing via the internet, or on their mobile devices.”

Ted Lin, President of Taiwan Sports Lottery Company Ltd, expressed the commitment to transforming the sports betting experience, highlighting Sportradar’s impressive track record in working with established lottery providers globally. Lin stated, “We look forward to harnessing the synergies with Sportradar to transform the sports betting landscape in Taiwan.”
